I have a 1975 Jeep CJ-5 with the 258 Inline Six.
I bought the #10110 Harness and I have a question about the ignition,

when I start the engine up everything is fine, then when I turn the key to off it is still fully running, and I can't shut it off until I put my hand over the carb to suffocate it.

Is this a ignition wiring issue, or is this a starter relay/ECM/Coil Issue?

chances are you are getting eninge run on through the exciter wire at the alternator. A diode will need to be installed in line of the exciter wire. Look at the diagram at the bottm of page 6 in the manual linked ----> http://www.painlessperformance.com/Manuals/10101.pdf
