Painless Performance

This have been running me upside down. I just replaced the harness for a 1991 Mustang 5.0
The car sounds like it's just sputtering when i run the starter. I can smell exhaust but she never runs. Does this sound like a problem related to my wiring?
The install was quite easy and I double checked every connection.

The first step to take is figuring out if you are getting fuel and spark to the engine during start up. The easiest way to tell is the check engine light should stay on while the engine is cranking, it it goes out when you try to start the vehicle, you have the 2 Ignition wires connected to a power source that loses power when the key in the "start" position. This is one of the most common mistakkes insallers make.

With so many questions that could be asked on why the engine isn't starting, it would probably be more beneficial for you to call the tech line.
