I have this harness and im trying to figure out the switch wiring. i searched the forums best i could but my computer is deciding not to be my friend so forgive me if this is a repeat post.
Take water pump for example. it has a wire for the main harness and it has a wire from the panel harness. how do i wire this? is the switch just acting like a ground to activate the relay.
Im thinking that you take the main cord and connect it to the water pump then ground the pump like normal. and do the same for the switch. this way the switch will activate the relay. Some people told me that i have to loop the wire around and just use the switch as a interrupter but that would make quite the mess i think. any help i would greatly appreciate

Colt 44-

Connect the water pump power wire from the fuse block to the (+) wire from the water pump. Ground the (-) wire from the water pump to engine block. The wire labeled “To Water Pump Switch” that is with all the other switch panel wires needs to be connected to the water pump switch in the panel. This wire provides 12 Volts as activation to the relay in the fuse block when the switch is turned on.

Do not loop any wiring from the water pump into the switch panel. The fuse block is populated with relays to handle the high amperage loads from the water pump and other components. Basically the switch panel is used to activate the relays on the fuse block.

Hope this helps,

Racing harnesses contain a machine pre-terminated fuse block and relays. Every circuit is protected with a fuse and a 20-amp relay for maximum reliability and high temp wire is used throughout.
